Admission Process for International Students

BSMU offers a straightforward and transparent admission process for international students, with a single annual intake in September. Our English-medium programs, particularly the MBBS, are designed to meet global standards, recognized by the World Health Organization (WHO), India’s National Medical Commission (NMC), and medical councils in 120+ countries.

Eligibility Criteria

To ensure a smooth admission process, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Academic Qualifications: Minimum 50% aggregate in 10+2 (or equivalent) with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as core subjects. For reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC), 40% is acceptable as per NMC guidelines.
  • NEET Qualification: Mandatory for Indian students; a valid NEET score is required (as per NMC regulations).
  • Age: Applicants must be at least 17 years old by December 31 of the admission year.
  • Language: No mandatory Russian language proficiency; English-medium programs are available for all listed courses.
  • Health: Applicants must submit a medical fitness certificate and negative HIV test report.

Admission Steps

Follow these steps to secure your place at BSMU:

  1. Online Application:
    • Visit the official BSMU website or authorized admission portal.
    • Complete the online application form with personal details, academic records, and program choice (e.g., MBBS, Dentistry, etc.).
  2. Document Submission:
    • Upload scanned copies of:
      • Passport (valid for at least 18 months).
      • 10+2 marksheet and certificate (attested).
      • NEET scorecard (for Indian students).
      • Birth certificate.
      • Medical fitness certificate and HIV test report.
      • Passport-sized photographs (6-8).

  4. Visa Application:
    • Receive an invitation letter from BSMU for visa processing.
    • Apply for a student visa at the nearest Russian Embassy/Consulate with the invitation letter, passport, and other required documents.
    • Visa processing typically takes 15-30 days.
  5. Fee Payment and Arrival:
    • Pay the first-year tuition and hostel fees directly to the university’s bank account.
    • Book your travel to Ufa, Russia, and inform BSMU’s international office for airport pickup and orientation
